cheerleader: (chrissy37)

[Chrissy's giggling so hard she has to cover her mouth with both hands, though she's mindful not to smudge her face paint. She gets Eddie to do his best roar one more time with her, and this time they get a group of kids to burst out into louder squeals and laughter.

She looks pretty pleased with herself as they watch the kids run away, and Chrissy glances over at him while she's still mid-tiger pose, claws held up in the air.

Baby, you're always the king of my jungle.

[She can just imagine how he'll groan and tell her never to say anything that cheesy again, knowing full well she's going to. They're both always doing whatever they can to make the other smile and laugh. And she thinks it's because of that her parents finally seem to be on board with her dating Eddie.

He started out as "that boy". Then became "The Munson Boy". Her father won't ever call him anything other than Mr. Munson, like he's some kind of comedian. But Laura Cunningham at least now calls him Edward, like calling him by a proper full name is more tasteful to her than suffering through calling him Eddie. Chrissy's just glad her mother calls him something respectful. It means she's far less likely to be lecturing her later when some of the moms here tonight let her know that Chrissy was acting immature and being ridiculous.

There's another roar from her as she takes a leap at Eddie's direction, figuring he'll catch her and scoop her up. They're not far off from the haunted house, and she can't think of any better way to wait in line than being wrapped up in his arms, with him pressed in close behind her.
